There are many ways to get involved with the Jr. Lancers Baseball organization, from serving on the operating committee, to volunteering a shift at the annual Backyard Bash tournament to a one-time project. Volunteering is a great way to learn more about the Jr. Lancers Baseball organization and use your expertise to benefit the program.
Volunteer Requirement
The Backyard Bash is our annual tournament held Father's Day weekend. Each family is required to volunteer at least 4 hours of their time over the course of the Bash weekend. Additional information regarding this event will be distributed in Spring.

Operating Committee
Operating committee members are dedicated to enhancing the organization. Learn more about the roles and structure here.
Committee Roles
Committee roles help support the committee chair and typically are more focused in scope. Learn more about the roles and structure here. Contact the respective committee chair with any interest.
Assistant Coach
Assistant coaches help support the head coach in a variety of capacities. Those interested in volunteering their time as an assistant coach should reach out to their head coach directly.
Team Manager
Team managers typically assist with tasks like inputting practice and game schedules into TeamSnap, ensuring league/tournament waivers are completed, and other tasks as needed. The Team Manager role is up to the discretion of each head coach. Anyone interested in this role should reach out to their head coach directly to gauge interest.
Team Scorer
Jr. Lancers Baseball uses the GameChanger app to score games. The team scorer uses the app during games to keep track of pitch counts, hits, walks, runs, etc. This task can be shared by two scorers per team.
